SLB is seeking a motivated, safety-focused, and technically curious individual to join our Nisku, AB team as a Multiphase Specialist. In this role, you will directly support field operations by preparing, operating, sampling, troubleshooting, and rigging up and down multiphase flow meters (MPFM - Vx) at wellsite locations. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, adapts quickly in dynamic field settings, and is eager to build both technical and business skills. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a firm commitment to safety, and clear communication with field teams and supervisors. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work independently in low-connectivity field environments, troubleshooting issues and performing under pressure, including H₂S conditions.
  • Design, prepare, and execute MPFM jobs as per the customer test program.
  • Manage data QA/QC, run power and communications, update meter configurations using internal software, and use internal business systems to generate accurate job reports.
  • Safely handle/transport dangerous goods (radioactive, flammable) after training; operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.
  • Apply good mechanical aptitude and basic electrical skills to equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Typical multiphase metering job scope (end-to-end):
    • Design the meter size and configuration; prepare equipment at base (paperwork, hardware, function checks, regulatory & HSE compliance).
    • Mobilize equipment and personnel to the wellsite.
    • Rig up, configure, and flow through equipment.
    • Take onsite fluid samples (atmospheric & pressurized bottles for Lab PVT work) and use basic lab equipment (centrifuge, densitometers, hydrometers, separation funnels).
    • Work on regular or rotational schedules of up to 21 days, depending on business needs, with 12- to 14-hour shifts when in the field.
    • Rig down, demobilize to base, and perform equipment maintenance/prep for the next jobin the field.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or BSc in Chemical, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.
  • Mechanical and basic electrical/automation skills preferred.
  • Experience in flowback, drillouts, or well testing preferred.
  • Computer skills.
  • Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Forklift and crane operator certifications are a plus.
  • TDG training, CSO, First Aid Level 2, and H2S Alive are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
