Job Purpose
- Coordinate all flow assurance activities across offshore, subsea, and onshore production systems. Monitor and optimize flow assurance performance across wells, subsea pipelines, pigging operation, offshore and onshore inlet processing facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production in wells and pipelines assets. Collaborate with multidisciplinary QatarEnergy teams to ensure compliance with approved Flow Assurance and Engineering Programs and in alignment with QGMS deliverables.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
- Coordinate of all wells and pipelines flow assurance operation to ensure compliance to pipeline and wells flow assurance requirements, through analysis of fluid mechanics, phase changes, erosion, corrosion, pigging operation, scale deposition, and heat transfer during the transportation of a multi-phase well stream from offshore wells to onshore.
- Coordinate and facilities the operation and execution of the pipeline flow assurance operation and pigging activities to minimize base business disturbance.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Coordinate on key aspects of flow assurance for the company's multiple subsea pipeline networks and wells, providing operational surveillance and support that assures pipeline operating safety, integrity, and reliability.
- Coordinate and facilitate all steps and inputs required to develop pigging flow profiles for all company subsea pipelines.
- Coordinate and execute all field activities to ensure hydrate mitigation systems are in place, including daily operational surveillance, troubleshooting, MEG optimization, whilst ensuring compliance and close-out of Winter Preparedness Checklists across multiple assets (onshore, offshore, offsite) prior to start of winter season.
- Coordinate pigging campaign planning and execution for all company's subsea existing pipelines assets and extends support for pigging activities (Maintenance & Inspections) for all new major projects including NFPS & NFE.
- Coordinate all pipelines flow assurance operational issues and challenges including planned/unplanned shutdowns, ramp-down and ramp-up rates, routine guidance on pipeline gas flow profiles based on onshore demand and by providing a 24x7 operational on-call support.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Maintain flow assurance risk registers and reporting for all pipeline operations and pigging activities.
- Coordinate the Pipeline Corrosion Monitoring program, including monthly fluid analysis (CI residuals, chlorides, TSS, iron content, etc.), data collection, data analysis, reporting and follow-up.
- Coordinate the different production chemical programs including Corrosion Inhibitor, MEG, TEG, demulsifiers and others).
- Maintain digital surveillance dashboards and analyze trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 8 years' experience in oil & gas sector with 3 years working experience with a focus on pipelines flow assurance.
- Knowledge of risk-based integrity management methods with a strong understanding of process safety concepts.
- Knowledge of industry analysis tools and software (PIPESIM, OLGA, HYSYS or PRO II, PVTSIM, etc.).
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of SHE Standards as they relate to the oil & gas Industry and Environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to flow assurance and pipeline integrity and operation.
- Full understanding of process safety concepts and elements.
