3rd W/K Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, and dredge pumps onboard Cutter Suction Dredger.
• Carry out routine inspection, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment and rotating machinery.
• Support maintenance of hydraulic systems related to cutter head, winches, spud systems, and pipeline operations.
• Monitor engine room parameters, fuel consumption, lube oil levels, and cooling systems during dredging operations.
• Maintain workshop tools, spare parts inventory, and ensure proper housekeeping in engine room and workshop areas.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime during production.
• Ensure compliance with ISM procedures, company PMS, and safety standards as per International Maritime Organization guidelines.
• Participate in bunkering, oil transfer operations, and ensure pollution prevention measures are followed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational instructions to ensure safe and efficient dredging operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.

STCW certification.

Minimum 5 years' experience on Dredger.
