Job Description
Engineering and Business:
Fully qualified professional or has applied for/ undergoing training to attain accreditation, with very good progress towards professional qualifications.
Recognized expertise in one or more subject areas within their discipline. Expected to act as a reviewer for low technical risk projects within their discipline.
Produces clear, concise reports that are submitted for approval, right first time.
Able to take a technical lead role in areas of expertise.
Able to present their technical work and that of the others on the project to the clients.
Able to instill principles of "Safe by Design" in team and provide guidance on hierarchical risk elimination, mitigation and controls
Manages technical interfaces within their own discipline; leads simple technical interfaces across disciplines.
Leads single discipline teams on projects of average complexity or as a Project Information Manager on medium and larger projects and Design Manager on smaller and medium projects.
Offers up new ideas, solutions and processes and sees them through to completion.
Conversant on the financial aspects of their project and estimates pricing/timing associated with a range of expertise.
Monitors projects' technical progress.
Questions and challenges conventional work methodology.
Actively seeks out colleagues and clients to establish their technical requirements.
Forms or attends technical networks across the business.
Working towards becoming a technical reviewer/signatory status.
Active participant on relevant Technical Network / Working Group.
Prepares and delivers technical training locally under direction
Values:
Leads by example and trains juniors on CDM, Safe by Design principles and Atkinsréalis CMS procedures
Shares lessons learnt and best practices. Leads knowledge sharing sessions with practice proactively as requested by PHoD
Leads by example for Continuous Professional Development events. Reviews team's commitment on CPDs during PDR cycle.
Support for the learning and development activities of the staff for the Technical and Professional development.
Act or Support the Regional Lead for the team and strengthen collaboration within that region.
