Overview
The Vancouver Rail Infrastructure team completes designs, studies, inspections and construction support for large and small railway projects across Canada and beyond. We work alongside other disciplines such as geotechnical, structural and electrical engineering to delivery integrated designs for track and adjacent infrastructure, such as duct banks, walkways, tunnel and guideway fit-outs, etc.

Additional information
Expected compensation for this role is between $73,000 - $100,400 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.

Your role
- Work in the Rail Infrastructure team on multidisciplinary projects to design, construct, assess, repair and study railway, track and related infrastructure.
- Develop project technical deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications.
- Lead quality expectations and best practices for deliverables.
- Perform calculations/checks and document reviews, participate in quality processes.
- Help to train and support new staff.
- Lead small teams to complete deliverables.
- Review and assess incoming data such as survey data, supplier submittals, material information.
- Participate in bid efforts as related to your area(s) of expertise.
About you
- Technical Certificate from a recognized Institution.
- 10+ years of design experience in AutoCAD and/or Bentley 2D and 3D design products.
- Track alignment/best-fit design experience, including assemblies and corridor design
- Ability to handle survey data and extract meaningful measurements to assess condition.
- CAD automation/programming bespoke tools an asset.
