The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Expert will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for the planning, design, integration, and implementation of advanced ITS solutions across major road, infrastructure, and urban development programs. The role focuses on delivering smart mobility systems that enhance traffic efficiency, safety, sustainability, and operational performance in alignment with national and international standards.
The ITS Expert will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including concept planning, design, system integration, testing, commissioning, and operational optimization, supporting the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and smart city initiatives.

Overview
The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Expert will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for the planning, design, integration, and implementation of advanced ITS solutions across major road, infrastructure, and urban development programs. The role focuses on delivering smart mobility systems that enhance traffic efficiency, safety, sustainability, and operational performance in alignment with national and international standards.
The ITS Expert will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including concept planning, design, system integration, testing, commissioning, and operational optimization, supporting the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and smart city initiatives.
Your role
Technical Leadership and ITS Design
- Lead the planning, design, and integration of Intelligent Transport Systems including traffic management systems, adaptive signal control, incident detection systems, smart mobility platforms, and traveler information systems.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure ITS solutions are effectively integrated within road and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review system architectures, engineering designs, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
- Ensure interoperability between ITS subsystems including field devices, central control systems, and communication networks.
Project Delivery and Implementation
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and operational analyses to support ITS deployment strategies.
- Provide technical oversight during procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover of ITS systems.
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure successful system implementation.
Stakeholder and Project Coordination
- Collaborate with clients, government authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful ITS integration.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project coordination activities.
- Provide expert technical advice to support project objectives and delivery requirements.
Compliance, Standards, and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with applicable national regulations and international ITS standards such as ISO, IEC, IEEE, and relevant transport authority requirements.
- Ensure ITS systems meet safety, cybersecurity, and operational performance standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance activities throughout project delivery.
Documentation and Technical Support
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and operational documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and project teams.
- Stay informed on emerging ITS technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
About you
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Professional membership with a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in Intelligent Transport Systems design, implementation, and integration.
- Demonstrated experience delivering ITS solutions on major road, infrastructure, or smart city projects.
- Proven involvement in design, system integration, testing, and commissioning of ITS systems.
- Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure environments.
Technical Competencies
- Strong expertise in traffic management systems, signal control systems, surveillance systems, and ITS communication networks.
- Knowledge of ITS architecture, system integration, and control center operations.
- Familiarity with ITS standards, system lifecycle management, and operational requirements
- Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and ITS platforms.
