Subsea7 are looking for motivated Finance students to join our Offshore Delivery team for a 1 year placement at our Westhill, Aberdeen office.

Finance Placement Students are responsible for ensuring timely validation of 3rd party invoices received from suppliers, reconciliation of travel for offshore crew and ad-hoc support to the Offshore Delivery finance team.

What will you be doing?

• Validation of 3rd party costs for personnel including: -
  • Verification and coding of invoices from company's external suppliers, following up on queries identified
  • Entering Service Entry sheets into SAP system
  • Liaising with accounts payable to resolve issues on AP invoices and VIM system
  • Preparation of annual budgets for 3rd party vendor purchase orders
  • Raising purchase requisitions as required and managing blanket purchase orders in conjunction with SCM
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts in accordance with financial reporting procedures and deadlines.
• Preparation of assigned month end tasks and assisting in the preparation of month end accruals.
• Posting and reconciliation of all travel costs for offshore personnel, analytical review of costs to provide information on trends
• Assist the finance team to ensure compliance with the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in Accounting and Finance
• Effective communicator who builds positive working relationships and can work effectively with colleagues at every level of the organisation
• Proficient user of MS Office applications, with solid experience navigating internal finance systems and databases
• Collaborative team member who contributes ideas and supports a positive team environment
