Provides community engagement expertise and coordination of local relationships, with a strong emphasis on education, civic and non-profit partners, and key events to promote corporate affairs strategies. Ensures Chevron is consistently visible, credible and responsive within Manhattan Beach, El Segundo and the South Bay community. Provides generalist support to deliver a wide range of products and services across multiple areas within the Corporate Affairs function. Coordinates, implements and executes alignment with communications team in progressing depiction of community engagement as focal point of external media plan . Designs and edits content for web, presentations, social media, surveys, and other communication platforms assuring effectiveness, consistency, clarity, and a high standard of quality. Coordinates and implements external special events in collaboration with community partners.

Required Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience working in corporate, government or municipal affairs and communications in either the private or public sector .
- Bachelor's Degree
- Stakeholder engagement and issue management experience with demonstrated experience building relationships with municipal governments .
- Proven ability to execute communications and stakeholder engagement strategies to maintain positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.
- Proven ability to effectively work with business associations and community and opinion leaders. Adept at building and maintaining positive internal and external relationships with a growth mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-driven environment.
