MLNG producing plant is a large-scale, fully integrated gas processing facility operating LNG trains, utilities systems, storage tanks, and marine loading facilities under strict international safety and environmental standards.

The Production Utilities, Storage & Loading Panel Operator plays a critical role within the Central Control Room (CCR), ensuring continuous, safe, and optimized plant operations. The position is responsible for real-time monitoring and control of utilities, storage, and loading systems via DCS, supporting field operators, minimizing flaring, maintaining plant stability, and contributing directly to LNG production targets.

Job Description

• Monitor and control Utilities, Storage, and Loading systems from the DCS panel on a continuous basis.
• Maintain all operating parameters within defined operating windows.
• Adjust controller set points as required and report deviations to the CCR Supervisor.
• Implement daily production instructions and requested parameter changes.
• Optimize plant performance and minimize flaring.
• Identify system faults, malfunctions, and abnormal situations; coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective actions.
• Support field operators to ensure proper coordination between plant activities.
• Participate in troubleshooting plant upsets and trips using alarm/event logs, functional analysis, and Safety Logic Diagrams (SLD).
• Manage and record safety device inhibitions; ensure safe reinstatement and proper risk assessment.
• Perform roles defined under the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including PTW opening/closing and SIMOPS coordination.
• Execute responsibilities under the Emergency Response Plan.
• Assist in testing of plant safety equipment (SDV, ESDV, BDV) and ensure accurate documentation.
• Participate in performance tests and collect operational data as required.
• Contribute to alarm management and alarm reduction initiatives.
• Log major events and conduct detailed shift handovers.
• Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations when required.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the CCR.
• Mentor and train junior panel operators in DCS and ICSS systems.
• Continuously pursue professional development and skills enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent international qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of production experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Minimum 5 years as LNG Train or Utilities Panel Operator.
• Excellent knowledge of DCS panel operations.
• Strong expertise in Safety Shutdown Systems (ESD, ESD1, ESD2, EDP1, EDP2, safety barriers).
• Excellent knowledge of Utilities, Storage & Loading operations in LNG plants.
• Strong troubleshooting capability for process upsets and plant trips.
• High knowledge of HSE standards and Environmental Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) systems in oil & gas industry.
• Good knowledge of Emergency Response systems and handling plant emergencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to work effectively in high-pressure control room environments.
