If you are a Nuclear Commodity Manager Forgings professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this position in Seregno, Italy offers a unique chance to influence Emerson's strategic sourcing landscape. You will collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management to ensure the successful, high‑quality, and cost‑effective supply of forging materials that support our European nuclear operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and enjoys driving supplier development and continuous improvement.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with forging suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, and ongoing performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with Emerson standards and European nuclear requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design-for-manufacturing activities, develop qualification criteria, and contribute to new product introduction success.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material availability, and lead times to inform demand planning and mitigate supply risks.
  • Negotiate commercial terms-pricing, delivery, payment structures, stocking programs-following Emerson's contract and compliance guidelines.
  • Adhere to trade compliance, import/export, and supply chain security regulations within the Italian and EU market context.
  • Utilize data to support project bids, protect margins, and enable effective cost control.
  • Lead and contribute to process improvements that enhance supplier performance and operational efficiency.

Who You Are:
You communicate openly and clearly, ensuring others understand expectations and priorities. You build trust by following through on commitments and maintaining strong working relationships across teams. You remain focused on what customers need and proactively address challenges that may impact delivery or quality. You plan thoughtfully, stay organized, and adjust quickly when priorities shift, ensuring progress toward long-term goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, commodity management, or strategic sourcing-preferably in engineered components or forged materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English; Italian language skills are an advantage for local supplier engagement.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally (estimated 10-20%).

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of forging processes, materials, and quality requirements (e.g., stainless and carbon steel).
  • Experience in supplier development, contract negotiation, or nuclear sector sourcing.
  • Familiarity with cost-modeling techniques to support commercial decisions.
  • Background supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
