This Position reports to:
ELDS Sales & Solutions Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee Local Sales & Solutions projects within the Electrification, Distribution Solutions in Istanbul, Turkey, providing clear guidelines, feedbacks, tasks and milestones, while ensuring effective contract management throghout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that ABB requirements and all targets are met in the contracts, providing high-quality service at every stage of the project.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Responsible for directing the administration of all contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders and the risk management from pre-award phase to close out and all associated terms and conditions
  • Review and provide specialized advice on contractual matters, agreements of all kinds, contracts, tenders, risks, claims, disputes and all issues that are governed by contract with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and partners
  • Develop in conjunction with corporate contract management and implement contract documentation for procurement, proposals, agreement and contractual correspondence of all nature in accordance with terms and conditions of contracts
  • Contract negotiations, teaming up with the sales, controlling and trade compliance, making decisions during negotiations, preparing adjustments to contract documents
  • To be responsible for the risk review process from the contract management perspective
  • Driving continuous improvement of contract and risk management processes and delivering training programs
  • Develop the risk profile of the individual projects, contracts and the customer as a permanent member of risk review process


Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Between 5 to 10 years of experience in Contract Management, Sales and Project Management in multi-discipline distribution, industry and EPC projects
  • Experience in claims and contractual matters, able to value variations, adjudicated claims and resolve disputes
  • Experience in FIDIC or similar conditions of contracts is preferable
  • Ability to work in consortium environments and contracts
  • Willing to travel inland and/or abroad
  • Solid knowledge in risk awareness, risk management and mitigation
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient command of both written and spoken English skills
