Job Summary:
We are looking for a Sr. Process Optimisation Specialist with experience in process packages and technologies, particularly related to separation, oil processing, water treatment & gas processing (upstream O&G). Located in KSA, the Sr. Process Optimisation Specialist will be supporting /leading Process studies, testing / sampling, process de-bottlenecking /optimization & revamps. As part of the Brownfield team, advise and support the Organization in Brownfield / Services matters.
Your journey will start with an onsite training program at our state-of-the-art testing facility at Flotta (UK) and NOV Process Systems HQ offices in Oslo (Norway).
This will require key decision-making skills and the ability to communicate process information to relevant internal and external parties. The role requires technology and solution focused and will require experience working with Process technologies as well as a grasp of fluid dynamics in theory or practice.
Key to this role will be your attention to detail and technical accuracy, communications skills, both spoken and written and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
An appreciation of the commercial implications of engineering decision making, delivering best practice, a keen focus on solution and the ability to turn client-driven requirements into profitable solutions are all critical to the success in this role.
You will be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through the variety of site optimization projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:
- Ascertain optimization / upgrade requirements for Process equipment. Effectively transfer information to internal and external interested parties.
- Offer specialist knowledge related to separation, oil processing, water treatment & gas processing
- Develop customized and tailor-made, cost effective solutions.
- Work closely with UK - Flotta chemistry lab and subject matter expert team.
- Provide proactively input/recommendations for development of product line to technical product line managers.
- Support business development and sales in client meetings with technical presentation and technical clarifications.
- Manage and undertake process studies / consultancy / laboratory-based studies / conceptual design.
- Ensure services are executed in an efficient way and at a level of quality recognized by our client including optimizing processes, test etc.
- Plan, manage and execute services inspections of process units, including troubleshooting, optimizing of operation and tests.
- Reporting of findings to third parties in the form of written reports, MS PowerPoint and Flash multimedia presentations at clients' premises.
- Instruct and train operating personnel at site.
- Support and contribute to the training and mentoring of colleagues as necessary.
- Ensure that lessons learned are captured and shared within the company.
- Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained when representing NOV.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department.
- Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
- Travel to KSA and MENA sites as and when required.

- Bachelor's Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status
- Minimum of 12+ years industry experience with sufficient site-based experience
- A working knowledge of the oil and gas industry
- Having experience in process packages and technologies including optimisaiton.
- Oil and gas industry experience

- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
- Exceptional communication skills, the ability to create high quality engineering reports and deliverables.
- Understanding of engineering documents and drawings

- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of NACE and End User Standards
