bp's ambition is to grow in the global convenience retail and mobility segments. bp is aiming to double its convenience gross margin and is also investing massively in convenience and EV charging on retail sites. To support these ambitions bp needs a solid, reliable, knowledgeable and flexible team to support.

As a Lead Retail Site Support AP Analyst you will be responsible to assure that all retail network related costs are processed in time and reflecting correctly in the retail P&L. Also, the Retail Accountant is the first point of contact of the retail network operated in the supported country. The team's ambition is to be the centre of excellence for invoice management and query handling with vendors/sites.

In this role You will:

  • Review, analyse in case of any issue occurred on individual portfolio related documents (invoices, credit notes).
  • Conduct analysis and investigation under the supervision of team lead of any occurred incident in relation to the AP processes on team portfolio.
  • Assist team members with technical and professional issues.
  • Initiate and manage appropriate control reports - ad-hoc and regular reports to assure controls in place.
  • Provide and follow-up on daily/weekly/monthly team coordination related reports. Operations control report monitoring - regular reports.
  • Set-up clear reconciliation processes to support team members' activities together with the team lead.
  • Supervise the team portfolio (supplier and stations), inform / involve all relevant collaborators in case of any anomalies detected following the agreed standard processes.
  • Keep regular contact and interact in a timely and professional manner with assigned business units, vendors, Outsourced Service Providers and Business Facing Financials.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders of the retail network to resolve issues.
  • Adhere to the Team's regular Key Performance Indicators and initiates new ones if necessary.
  • Support the team with deep understanding of the retail processes and systems. Monitor team processes, initiate changes where needed. Guarantee that Continuous Improvement is part of team efforts.
  • Ensure month end close related checks on team's portfolio.
  • Perform Month end close (MEC) related accrual posting in Blackline for team's portfolio.
  • Supervise payment related process in line with the team lead's input.
  • Prepare BSA reconciliation for the team's assigned General Ledger accounts.
  • Interface monitoring supervision and issue solving.
  • Support Line Manager in all projects, systems implementations, strategic topics and any ad hoc activities needed.
  • Ensure the back-up responsibilities for the Team Leader.
  • Provide professional coaching for the team, guide new joiners.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Master degree or equivalent qualification (with preference in Finance).
  • Previous experience in accounting / finance (preferably P2P / AP).
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Desirable Criteria:

  • High analytical skills, Experience in problem solving, working with complex activities and large amounts of detail.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, Willing to learn new systems and processes.
