Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Services business in Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Proposing technical solutions and working on consulting assignments, using established standards, methods, and technologies, to develop solutions and resolve issues.
• Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, and p ropos e engineering solutions to meet the needs of the customer or develop new s ervice offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively.
• Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers e nsuring quality and timely implementation within targeted cost.
• Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• You are skilled in Electrical Power Systems and familiar with lifecycle management of distribution systems in the Oil & Gas, Utility, Data Centre, Factories or other industries.
• You have 5 years or more experience in consulting customers, supporting technical enquiries related to medium and low voltage distribution systems, products and developing value propositions accordingly for modernisation (retrofits, upgrades) and long term service strategies including but not limited to Service Level Agreements and Asset Life Extension roadmaps.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of MV and LV Automatic Transfer Scheme applications for switchgears.
• You are passionate about driving digitalisation and sustainability in the market by positioning solutions around these elements in business offerings.
• You are at ease communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• You are Malaysian and familiar with the culture and landscape of customers in Peninsular and non Peninsular Malaysia.
