To support its growth, our team is looking to welcome a senior engineer with recognized expertise in the execution of industrial projects in the aluminium sector. You will work within a multidisciplinary team involved in major projects in Quebec and North America, collaborating with key clients such as Rio Tinto, Alcoa, and EGA for smelters, as well as Nouveau Monde Graphite, Glencore Horne Foundry, Galaxy Lithium, or Agnico Eagle in the mining sector.

Your role
Within the industrial mining projects team, you will report to the Aluminium Team Lead and your responsibilities will include:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader/mentor for internal and external clients, engineers, and technicians.
- Ensue technological watch and sharing new trends and discoveries with the group.
- Participate in high-level decisions related to technology choices and process optimization.
- Prepare and supervise plans, specifications, mechanical and process details, including design calculations according to relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Develop and validate mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Supervise the drafting of technical specifications for pre-purchase and construction.
- Analyze or supervise the analysis of bids and participating in design and risk reviews.
- Providing technical support to engineers and technicians during project execution.
About you
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Possesses excellent command of French and proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Expertise in one or more major sectors of aluminium smelters (Electrolysis, Carbon, Casting) and knowledge of various technologies (AP, EGA, Elysis, etc.).
- Field experience (construction and/or operations) in an industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of project execution stages (e.g., FEL according to AACE).
- Knowledge of simulation software (Flexsim, Arena, etc.) is considered an asset.
