Job description
Basic Functions:
The primary function of the Commissioning Piping Specialist is to ensure that
all commissioning activities for piping disciplines are prepared and executed
according to OPERCOM® methodology in a safe manner and according to
the planned schedule. This role is crucial for smooth coordination with other
project entities, including the Interface department, Integration team,
Construction, and Project Services.
Main Accountabilities:
The Commissioning Piping Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Health,
Safety, and Environment (HSE) is given the highest priority, and that all piping
personnel are adequately trained and comply with job instructions. He
coordinates, reviews, and approves the quality and completeness of
deliverables and procedures for piping activities. Additionally, he assists the
Commissioning Unit leader in witnessing and monitoring commissioning
activities, reviewing commissioning progress, and ensuring smooth transitions
from commissioning to start-up phase.
Profile
Qualifications:
The position requires an engineer level or equivalent education, with a high
knowledge of piping activities within a petrochemical site. A minimum of 10
years of experience in a similar position of piping commissioning or
construction is necessary. Specific skills include knowledge of EPCC contract
management, OPERCOM®, and ICAPS©. The candidate should be
methodic, organized, and possess a good team spirit, along with fluency in
English and preferably Arabic.
