We are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Developer to join our growing data and digital delivery team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end data engineering solutions on the Azure platform, with strong expertise in Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Power BI.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering production-grade, scalable data solutions, works closely with business stakeholders, and takes ownership from data ingestion to analytics and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
• Certifications in azure data engineering & data analytics are preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data engineering solutions on Azure
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure-native services such as:
  • Azure Data Factory / Synapse Pipelines
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2)
  • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing)

• Implement data modelling and transformation logic to support analytical and reporting needs
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports for business and leadership consumption
• Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and security across the data platform
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices for data pipelines and reporting assets
• Perform code reviews, technical guidance, and mentoring for junior engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, performance, and production issues
• Contribute to architecture decisions, best practices, and standards for Azure data platforms

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering / data platform development
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering stack, including:
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Microsoft Fabric
• Strong experience in Power BI:
• Data modelling (Star/Snowflake schema)
• DAX
• Performance optimization
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale datasets
• Experience implementing end-to-end data solutions (ingestion → transformation → analytics → reporting)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytical modelling
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, and DevOps practices for data solutions
• Familiarity with security, access control, and governance in Azure environments
