Senior Contract Advisor
Location: Aberdeen
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 36 Months Staff
Description:
Drive competitive advantage through ethical and well-controlled supply chain management. Support the UK Contracting and Procurement team, take part in commercial negotiations and contract development, manage sourcing processes, and coordinate timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational and project needs.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Initiate, negotiate, and administer complex (high value/high-risk) contracts, purchase orders, and service orders, ensuring full compliance with company policies and HSEQ requirements to mitigate financial, legal, and reputational risks.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders—including senior management, legal teams, suppliers, and vendors—and act as the primary point of contact for escalations and dispute resolution.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract management and procurement processes, including policy development, best-practice implementation, and long-term sourcing strategies.
• Support safe and reliable operations by participating in contractor management and HSEQ activities aimed at preventing health, safety, and environmental incidents.
• Review and improve contracting and purchasing procedures to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with operational requirements.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to Supply Chain Management processes and procedures by internal stakeholders to reduce exposure to financial, legal, HSEQ, and reputational risks.
• Prepare, review, and monitor service contracts, ensuring the accuracy of estimates, commitments, budget controls, and cost allocations to support efficient invoice processing.
• Oversee and coordinate all contracting and procurement activities across PNS, ensuring ethical, safe, and environmentally responsible performance in support of business objectives.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, law, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the petro-chemical or offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Professional qualification - NEVI/CIPS
  • Strong understanding of UK procurement law, contracting models & regulatory requirements.
  • ERP systems experience (SAP preferred).
