Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Location: Aberdeen
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 36 Months Staff
Description:
Drive competitive advantage for our client by ensuring effective and ethical supply chain management. This includes leading commercial negotiations, shaping contractual terms, managing sourcing activities, and securing the timely delivery of goods, services, and logistics to support operations and projects. In performing these activities, the Supply Chain Advisor acts as a trusted advisor and business partner to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Ensure full adherence to company HSEQ policies, procedures, and practices across all supply chain activities.
• Initiate, negotiate, and administer commercial, legal, and HSEQ aspects of contracts, purchase orders, rental/repair agreements, and service orders in accordance with company policies to mitigate financial, legal, HSEQ, and reputational risks.
• Coordinate and expedite procurement activities—including scheduling, inspections, and project requirements—to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in line with company standards.
• Support safe and reliable operations by participating in contractor management and HSEQ activities, contributing to the prevention of health, safety, and environmental incidents.
• Review and recommend improvements to contracting and purchasing procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business needs.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Supply Chain Management processes and procedures by internal stakeholders to reduce exposure to financial, legal, HSEQ, and reputational risks.
• Act as the interface between the workforce and subject matter experts for dangerous goods, lifting equipment, and personal protective equipment, supporting safe operational practices and adherence to HSEQ requirements.
• Ensure UK supply chain processes remain aligned with internal company policies and external regulatory requirements, maintaining regular collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Operations to support compliant procurement activities.
• Assist in managing contractors and the contingent workforce by ensuring IR35 compliance, accurate documentation, and conformity with company governance standards.
Experience Required
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years’ experience in procurement, contracts, or supply chain (E&P sector experience advantageous).
• Understanding of procurement processes, contract administration, and supplier management.
• Strong IT skills (Excel essential); ERP experience (SAP desirable).
• Working towards CIPS qualification desirable.
• Proactive and organised, able to manage multiple priorities.
