This position is within our Consulting division which encompasses professionals with industry-leading expertise in areas including decarbonisation, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, renewables advisory, asset optimisation, and digital solutions. A multi-sector business unit, we are focused on providing consulting solutions during the planning, analysis, operation and optimisation of assets, facilities, and infrastructure.
Our noise team supports clients in control and management of noise in design and operations to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance. We undertake a large variety of work in the energy and minerals sectors, with work ranging from desktop modelling to site based surveys and troubleshooting. Our growth is supported by our noiseAI technology which classifies sound in real-time and as accurately as human experts to automate noise assessments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Graduate tasks can be significantly varied but include:
- Field work to set up and maintain our AI enabled noise and acoustic monitoring systems
- Support building and validation of AI models for acoustic classification tasks
- Undertake noise surveys and report to the client. Both occupational and environmental noise.
- Complete acoustic data analysis and assessment
- Complete predictive modelling of noise emissions

QUALIFICATIONS
What we look for in this role:
- Completed your Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering degree by the end of 2026 or earlier.
- Attention to detail: You will be responsible for creating detailed designs and specifications and must pay close attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and safety of the work.
- Teamwork: Most engineering projects require collaboration and teamwork, so strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential
- Adaptability: Engineering is a constantly evolving field, and as a graduate engineer you should be able to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
- Problem solving: Engineering often requires finding creative solutions to complex problems. Good critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
- Communication skills: The ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner is important for a graduate engineer. This includes the ability to write reports, give presentations, and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- Continuous Learning: Technologies and methodologies are constantly changing so staying up to date is an important attribute
- Creativity: have that innate ability to "think outside the box"
- Analytical ability: ability to think analytically to fully define a problem and develop solutions suited to the problem.
- Logical thinking: ability to understand how a system works, what can go wrong and how to fix it. This requires the ability to think logically and evaluate and understand each element that makes up the system
- Leadership: well-developed "human skills" so you can smoothly perform non-technical duties.
- Respect for health and safety protocols: this is more of a requirement than a skill but adherence to policies that aim to eliminate or mitigate risk is a necessity.
