As a HPR Senior Transformer Specialist, you will use your technical knowledge to support engineering, R&D and SCM in special transformer relevant topics. The role involves contribution to Operations & R&D.

Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you bring a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and more than five years of proven experience in transformer technology. You have strong expertise in transformer design for various AC and/or DC power electronics applications and a comprehensive understanding of thermal and mechanical transformer design, as well as their manufacturing processes.
You possess professional experience in performing simulations and have a solid understanding of applicable transformer standards. You demonstrate strong theoretical and practical expertise in converter transformers, power transformers, and autotransformers.
To thrive in this position, you are intellectually curious and bring a strong growth mindset. You are able to see both the bigger picture and the technical details. You work effectively in multidisciplinary environments and are recognized as a collaborative team player. At the same time, you are structured and self-driven, with strong self-management and excellent communication skills.

As a HPR Senior Transformer Specialist, you will use your technical knowledge to support engineering, R&D and SCM in special transformer relevant topics. The role involves contribution to Operations & R&D.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance in transformer sourcing during the sales phase.
- Assist in the preparation of technical bids and tender documents, ensuring that all transformer-related aspects are accurately addressed and compliant with client requirements and industry standards.
- Be capable of performing technical comparisons between different transformer suppliers based on key technical parameters such as losses and dimensions.
Engineering Consultation & Guidance
- Support engineering in the review of transformer specifications.
- Review various transformer analyses such as electrostatic shield analysis, short-circuit withstand analysis, hot-spot calculation reports, and thermal evaluations, and provide technical advice to the factory based on these calculations.
- Provide expert support during active part inspections and FAT.
- Actively lead transformer design review meetings.
- Support transformer troubleshooting activities. For example, be capable of interpreting DGA analysis results and providing recommendations for possible service actions and post-mortem analysis.
R&D
- Contribute to R&D projects by conducting feasibility studies involving special transformers for different AC and DC power electronics topologies.
- Propose specific transformer designs for high-current AC and DC applications.
Lead Technical Customer Meetings
- Demonstrate transformer expertise during customer meetings to create a competitive advantage.
- Lead product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the performance, reliability, and efficiency of transformer solutions in the context of the client's project needs.
Risk Assessment
- Evaluate and communicate potential risks associated with transformer integration within specific projects, advising on mitigation strategies and alternative solutions where necessary.
SCM
- Support SCM in the qualification and development of transformer suppliers.
