Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines such as mills, grinders, lathes, and saws to produce parts to specification.
- Operate and adjust CNC equipment to machine intricate shapes and features with high precision.
- Follow daily production plans, communicate status, and help ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Work closely with teammates, support production scheduling activities by providing status updates and helping adjust priorities as needed to meet goals. Share information between shifts, documenting work performed and communicating any issues or special instructions
- Collaborate with engineers and quality to help identify issues, support root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor basic metrics related to safety, quality, and delivery, and participate in problem‑solving when targets are not met.
- Support and learn from more experienced machinists, while also helping less experienced teammates with basic setups and best practices.
- Perform in‑process checks and data collection measurement tools, to verify part conformance.
- Contribute to machining strategy development by providing feedback on setups, tools, and processes for complex parts.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team, improve safety, and enhance productivity.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Foundational experience with CNC machining, including setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measurement tools, basic understanding of GD&T

- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast‑paced production setting.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving abilities, with interest in learning advanced inspection methods such as Zeiss CMM operation and applying GD&T in machining and setup.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to collaborate with engineers and peers on ideas that improve safety, quality, and productivity.
