Job Description Summary

The Turbine Airfoils Operations Leader is accountable for end-to-end operational performance across the turbine airfoils supply base and internal value streams. This role consolidates supplier performance into a single, executive-ready story; serves as the primary interface to internal customers and WOR/MOR communications; implements and sustains operating cadences and standard work for leaders and peers; and owns the digital roadmap, partnering with Digital Technologies to deploy tools that manage and improve the business. Success is measured through Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, with proactive risk management and transparent execution.

This position will require up to 25% travel.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Integrated Supplier Performance:

  • Owns daily / weekly / monthly total performance view linking supply, quality, and delivery performance across all airfoil suppliers and internal routings.
  • Create a consolidated risk register and mitigation plans with clear owners, timelines, and impacts to programs and customers.
  • Provide weekly/monthly executive-ready dashboards, trends, and call-to-action summaries with root cause/containment/corrective actions.


Customer Interface, owns weekly / monthly communications:

  • Act as the key interface to internal customers (Programs, Services, Manufacturing Sites) to align actions, priorities, and constraints.
  • Own WOR/MOR inputs and outputs: prepare concise updates, standardize content, and ensure actions and decisions are captured and closed.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable supply plans and recovery roadmaps; manage escalations with speed and discipline.


Operating Cadences and Standard Work:

  • Design and implement tiered operating rhythms (daily/weekly/monthly), including supplier reviews, risk reviews, SIOP syncs, and quality health checks.
  • Partner with our commercial team to link strategies, operating cadences, standard work.
  • Establish, document, and sustain standard work for self and peer leaders (meeting agendas, prep packs, owner/action logs, visual management).
  • Lead short-interval control for late hardware and critical risks; drive containment, expedite, and on-site support as needed.


Digital Development in Partnership with Digital Technologies:

  • Own the digital solutions strategy for turbine airfoil castings operations; define requirements, prioritize backlog, and measure value realization.
  • Partner with DT to deploy dashboards, capacity/risk models, workflow automations, and data pipelines enabling near real-time visibility.
  • Champion data quality, master data governance, and user adoption; train teams and embed digital tools into standard work.


Performance Management and Continuous Improvement:

  • Deliver SQDC improvements: OTD, FTY, lead time, delinquency reduction, and readiness to rate.
  • Use analytics to prioritize bottlenecks (e.g., casting yield, NDE throughput, machining capacity) and drive structured problem solving.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen and corrective actions that close gaps with measurable outcomes and control plans.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management

The base pay range for this position is $ 157,000.00 - $200,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 8, 2026.
