Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase goods from internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers according to the delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, and terms and conditions. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities are aligned with company purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by handling urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries.

This role is contributing to 5 division in EL China .

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Releasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities.
  • Monitoring suppliers' order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes.
  • Tracking the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery.
  • Minimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans; and tracking goods received at the warehouse to verify appropriate delivery and ensures invoice processing and high customer service level.
  • Handle incoming shipment damages and discrepancies in a timely manner, follow up on claims and settlements with suppliers, and ensure no defective stock is locked under contract.
  • Assist the planning department in achieving inventory targets.
  • Review PO payables and other logistics expenses to ensure all cost items claimed are within the contract scope or supported by approvals. Use BI tools to generate and analyze reports, identify issues promptly, and propose solutions.
  • Participate in on-site supplier inventory checks and audits, and be willing to travel based on business needs.
  • Provide operational support during the absence of other team members.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or above + 5 years of relevant experience (International Trade/Import & Export field preferred).
    • ️ Language: Excellent command of English (Written & Oral) is a must; CET-6 or above required.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; strong data analysis skills. SAP and Power BI experience is a plus.
    • Core Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, analytical mindset, and high attention to detail.
    • Personal Traits: Independent worker and collaborative team player. Energetic, proactive, hardworking, and responsible.
