Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement and Engineering team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Accountable for Cost brake down analysis, hedging forecast program for main comodities (Metal Fab), supplier cost review, search for cost improvement with suppliers and processes.
• Identifying improvements related to the manufacturing processes and negotiation with suppliers.
• Acting as a key business focal point for revising the procurement Gate Model checklist.
• Selecting, with the support of affected Procurement teams, the prototype suppliers and final production material suppliers, in line with product cost requirements, future product footprint requirements, time-to-market requirements, and procurement strategies, while ensuring sustainable quality and cost.
• Act as key stakeholder for multidisiplinary teams

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors degree in Engineering .
• 7+ Years experience in Purchasing and Manufacturing processes, cost analysis and manufacturing impact cost in MetalFab industry
• Advanced English
• SAP or other ERP knowlege
• Manufacturing Know-how processes
• Ability to lead indirect teams, self directed, open communication
