Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELDS department in Dalmine.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Perform daily workload production on manual or semi-automatic bending machines

• Performing routine machinery set-up, adjustment and simple machine program.

• Ensuring regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshooting and reporting issues, if any.

• Keeping track of approved, defective units, and final products.

• Executes the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.

• Operates machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.

• Maintains a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.

Qualifications for the role

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to read mechanical drawings

• Ability to use manual or semi-automatic bending machines

• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.

• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
