Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the development and ensure communication/implementation of global and regional procurement strategies for ABB's indirect materials and services (IM&S) to maximize procurement efficiency. Each day, you will lead internal stakeholder management across divisions, business areas, and functions in Singapore. You also are required to provide adhoc support to different stakeholders in the ASEAN region together with the Category Managers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring compliance and implementation of procurement activities, procedures, and initiatives in the assigned country.

This role is contributing to the development and ensures communication and implementation of global and regional procurement strategies for ABB's Indirect Materials and Services(IM&S) to maximize procurement efficiency . Main stakeholders are users from all business areas, group functions hosted in ABB Singapore site.

• Driving compliance to global and regional sourcing strategies in the areas of indirect materials and services to maximize savings.
• Fostering communication internally, externally, and between different global organizations and functions and supports the implementation of procurement activities and initiatives in the region/country through effective communication.
• Leading efforts to achieve client satisfaction with internal stakeholders in the region/country through effective communication and active feedback loops between stakeholders and the Procurement organization.
• Meeting the budgeted function cost and headcount targets at the country level and achieving planned cost reduction on indirect materials and services.

Qualifications for the role

• You are immersed and experienced in and enjoy working with current digital tools e.g. Ariba, SAP, AI and the supplier market.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement specifically in business partner roles or high impact stakeholder engagement activities
• You are passionate about continuous improvement, digital innovation, practical AI application to enhance and improve efficiency
• Able to participate in regional and global initiatives in addition to your Business Partnering role in Singapore.
• Possess a degree or tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Commerce, Marketing or with extended related experience.
• At ease communicating in English, Mandarin and/or a 3rd language is an advantage.
• You have work rights in Singapore.
