JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and exceeding daily production of Cyclops 1K & 2K Tools
  • Oversee and verify that all quality policies/ procedures are in place and being performed and a daily basis.
  • Always maintain a professional and respectful demeaner when conducting your duties as shop lead
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment for all employees. Maintain good housekeeping practices, hand tools, equipment, and workstations.
  • Lead by example, always hold yourself as well as all employees to the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Be accountable and responsible for your team members, their attendance, training, safety, and production.
  • Perform daily JSA's, weekly safety topics and all required HSE training to ensure a safe and effective workplace for everyone.
  • Mentor and train new and existing employees to the high standards that Fortress expects of everyone.
  • Track and manage employee training and production to ensure all employees are at their best each day.
  • Report all shop needs, concerns, issues, and positive feedback to management.
  • Work directly with and on a continued basis with the facility manager on scheduling, days off, and other employee issues to maintain a required level of coverage for each day of work.
  • Work with the facility manager to recruit, train and mentor new talent. Keep the team fresh and functioning at the highest levels possible
  • Be a good steward of Fortress Downhole tools, its employees, facilities, and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain down tools in accordance with Fortress QA/QC standards.
  • Manage and maintain Minimums/ Maximums of on hand replacement parts.
  • Assist drivers with vehicle maintenance and required repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing NDT/MPI trainings and certifications. Assist 3rd party inspection of tools. Once training is completed, manage the ongoing inspection process.
  • Complete weekly maintenance of facility, and equipment as needed.
  • Be available and flexible to fill in for a variety of positions in the shop due to vacations, sickness etc.
  • Any other duty, responsibility, or task as assigned by supervisor


Skills Required:

  • Strong technical background working with downhole tools utilized in pump down operations, including wireline setting tools, frac plugs, and perforating guns
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as needed to support customer field operations
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, and operational management skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 OS, and Microsoft Office
  • Forklift training
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
