Job Objectives:

The Communications and Media Coordinator - Photography - Videography is responsible for producing high-quality photography and videography that supports WQ1's communication objectives. This role plays a critical part in visually documenting field operations, events, community initiatives, and internal communications. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, an understanding of industrial environments, and the ability to translate technical work into compelling visual stories.

Key Responsibilities:

Photography & Videography

• Capture professional photographs and videos across the oil field, including operations, infrastructure, events, and site visits.
• Ensure all visual coverage aligns with brand guidelines, safety protocols, and field access regulations.
• Work closely with departments and the Communications Lead to plan and schedule shoots for priority events and projects.
• Maintain and organize visual content archives with clear tagging, metadata, and backups.

Editing & Post-Production

• Edit photos and videos using professional software to enhance quality and tailor outputs for different formats (press, social media, presentations, internal screens).
• Produce short video clips or montages to support awareness campaigns, business updates, and management messages.
• Ensure all visual materials meet publication standards and are properly branded.
• Support the design of simple visual materials such as posters, signage, and presentation graphics when needed.
• Support communications team with other related tasks as needed.

Expected:

• Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also considered.
• 2-4 years of experience in photography and videography, ideally in an industrial or corporate setting.
• Strong command of DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio recording tools.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects (Preferred)).
• Knowledge of file management, backups, and content organization.
• Attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and understanding of composition and lighting.
• Capable to read, write and communicate in Arabic and English.

Preferred:

• Experience working in oil & gas, engineering, or remote field environments.
• Drone photography/videography certification or experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in oil & gas environments.
