JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Environmental Advisor on a Part-time basis in Aberdeen Office required to support with Wood Duty Holder operations and on client secondments. Site visits & Offshore trips will be required.

The selected candidate will drive continuous improvement, promote the highest standards of environmental stewardship, and shall assist Wood to uphold our exemplary environmental reputation in the eyes of key stakeholders. They shall also support the implementation of Wood's environmental strategy and HSSE Policy obligations. This role will be based in Aberdeen and ability to travel to site is required. The selected candidate will be an enthusiastic environmental professional with experience of operations, preferably in the offshore and onshore oil and gas industry and have a thorough understanding of ETS and the UK environmental regulatory regime. Knowledge in the Energy Transition would also be desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Desirable:

• Professional membership of environmental body.
• Trained and competent External Auditor.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Experience in a technical environmental advisory role with experience in project / contracts in Oil & Gas or other industry.
• Excellent working knowledge of ETS and relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
• Established competence in permit management - application compilation, submission, and associated reporting.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Collating and interpreting environmental performance data.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• On-site practical knowledge and experience (on and offshore and in asset lifecycle).
• Effective / competent MS Office Suite User.
• High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
