Job Description Summary

As an operator in an aerospace environment you will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, preparation and treatment of customer returned units. During this process you will also support testing, warranty and engineering requirements.

  • Strip down of propeller components and apply minor salvages.
  • Work to drawings, manuals, specifications and business procedures.
  • Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the process.
  • Highlight and record defects.
  • Work to H&S regulations and understand the risks within the environment.
  • Support engineering / quality investigations and project work as and when required.
  • Support cost-out/lean initiatives, EHS/ergonomic activities, housekeeping inspections and continuous improvement projects.
  • Book in parts and be trained to use various lifting devices.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • The ability to work on mechanical and hydraulic components.
  • The ability to utilise detailed manuals, drawings and other documentation to complete the task.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • High quality and accurate work output
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to work varied shift patterns when required.
