Product Specialist

The medium voltage switchgear factory in Skien Norway develops and produce ring main units (RMU), compact switchgear used in electrical distribution network (12-36kV). The product specialist team plays an important role in optimizing product positions across the product life cycle.

The team will drive activities for product portfolio in cooperation with the local and global product management team and the sales team . S upport business results by overseeing all steps in the product, system or service life cycle including development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers and colleagues with technical and application know-how and assists in the resolution of customer and product related issues.

• Collaborates with internal teams ( i.e. manufacturing, quality, engineering, technology center, sales, logistics ) to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Tendering support and identifying requests for new features or components.

• Identify , assign and follow up product related improvement and contribute to bringing these ideas to completion.

• Prepares various technical or economic analyses by own and competitors' product.

• Collaborate with internal teams to share data as needed.

• Creates together with Product Management external and internal product training modules and programs.

Your ba ckground

• University degree (Bachelor) / Technical College (electrical or relevant).

• It is beneficial with experience within MV Switchgears or Automation.

• Relevant experience is valued and may compensate for the lack of formal education.

• Fluency in both Norwegian and English (verbal and written).
