About the role

We are looking for an experienced R&T Subsea Technologies Lead to strengthen our Research & Development activities in Norway. Based at the Stavanger Research Centre , you will play a key role in shaping and leading advanced R&T projects on subsea technologies , with a focus on all electric subsea systems, subsea processing technologies and SURF .

This is a strategic position combining technical leadership, innovation, project management and external collaboration , contributing directly to cost and greenhouse gas emissions reduction for subsea and offshore developments and operations.

Activities

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate R&T activities related to subsea all electric,processing technologies , SURF in Norway within a multiyear R&T program
  • Contribute to R&T roadmaps definitions, research axes and work programs aligned with company strategy and energy transition objectives
  • Manage R&T projects end to end: scope, budget (typically €2-3M), resources, contracts, deliverables,quality and HSE, reporting to Headquarter R&T Entity
  • S cope, budget (typically €2-3M), resources, contracts, deliverables, quality and HSE
  • Drive innovation, involve internal and external experts, and promote patentable solutions
  • Develop and manage partnerships with i ndustry players, research institutes, universities and JIPs , including strong collaboration in Norway
  • Ensure technology maturation, validation and transfer to business lines and operations, including pilot and demonstration projects
  • Represent the company in international conferences, technical bodies and publications , enhancing external visibility and technical leadership
  • Maintain a strong technological watch and assess positioning versus competitors

Candidate Profile

Your profile
  • MSc or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline
  • 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas and/or offshore energy, with strong exposure to subsea systems in terms of operations and developments
  • Solid understanding of subsea system design, qualification standards and operational constraints, contractual & intellectual property processes
  • Experience working across organizations in transverse and international environments
  • Ability to influence partners and operators in joint industry projects
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics and present them clearly
  • Proven ability to write technical guidelines, papers and reports
  • Fluent English: strong intercultural skills and international exposure are expected. Knowledge of French or Norwegian is a plus.
  • Curious, open-minded, autonomous and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills
