Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

Food Service Cooks serve as key members of the food service team. You will be preparing, cooking, and serving meals in a United States Air Force Dining Facility (DFAC) in support of military personnel. Responsible for food preparation, portion control, and maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety. Assists with meal planning, food storage, and kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with Air Force food service regulations. Works as part of a team to provide efficient, nutritious meals in a fast-paced military dining environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes, menus, and portion standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist with meal service, including portioning and serving food to military personnel.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
  • Monitor food supplies, assist with inventory, and report shortages or quality issues.
  • Accurately follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Daily use of recipes and portion guidelines with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work
  • Additional duties as assigned by lead, Dining Facility Manager, supervisor, etc.

Basic Qualifications
  • Turkish Citizen
  • High School Graduate
  • Ability to Speak, Read, and Understand Level 2 English
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food service, commercial kitchens, or military dining facilities.
  • Knowledge of large-scale meal preparation and batch cooking.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or ServSafe practices.
  • Experience with food inventory management and storage procedures.
  • Culinary training or certification in food service or hospitality.

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.

All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.

All male candidates must have completed their military service.
