In which organization will you work as a Road Construction Project Engineer (M/F) ?

We are looking for our client, a recognized player in the public works and road infrastructure sector, for a Project Engineer specialized in road construction projects.
The position is based in Lyon, with regular site visits across the region.

Job Title: Project Engineer - Road Construction

What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Reporting to the Agency Manager or the Project Director, you will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of road construction projects:

• Prepare, organize and manage road construction and rehabilitation works
• Participate in execution studies and work planning
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure technical, financial and contractual follow-up of projects
• Monitor compliance with deadlines, costs and quality standards
• Ensure strict application of Quality, Safety and Environmental (QSE) rules
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, project management teams and partners
• Produce site reporting and take part in progress meetings

What profile and skills are required for this Project Engineer position?

Education

• Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Public Works or Infrastructure

Experience

• Proven experience (minimum 3 to 5 years) in road works project management
• Experience on roadworks, highways, urban developments or VRD projects

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge in road infrastructure
• Solid experience in site management and cost control
• Ability to lead and supervise on-site teams
• Good knowledge of public works standards and regulations
• Strong organizational skills, analytical mindset and good communication abilities
