We are currently seeking a Sr. Designer / Principal Designer UG & General Civil to join our Chennai Team, and this position will be directly reporting to HOD / Lead.

About the mission we offer you:

The Sr. Designer / Principal Designer UG & General Civil will be responsible to Support Civil team. Preferred experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industries. Skilled in 2D drafting (AutoCAD). Experience in 3D modeling (S3D), Able to generate 2D drawings from 3D models. Knowledge of Indian and international engineering codes. This role involves developing, implementing and Liaising with Engineering disciplines for the necessary inputs.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Diploma in Engineering with at least 7 - 20 years (or ITI with minimum 15 - 20 years) of relevant industry experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is essential. Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments.
• Ability to work independently.

Starting Date: Immediately / April/May 2026

About you:

• 3D modelling of Under Ground (UG) Networks (Foundation, Piping, Drains, Trenches, etc)
• 3D Modelling of all Underground Facilities in S3D
• Extraction of 2D Installation Drawings from 3D model including clash checking
• Extraction of UG Piping ISOs
• Incorporation of inter discipline comments and client comments
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines for clash resolution/technical issues
• Participation in Model Reviews
• Material take-offs
• Adhere to Corporate QHSE policy.
• Managing EPCM project with Team of 5 to 15 Designers as Area Lead
• Managing PMC projects as Area Lead
• Managing/Review of EPC contractors UG and General Civil Drawings
• Managing Site activities related to UG and General Civil Drawings.
• To ensure clash free models.
• Issue of UG/Civil Works Installation drawings with required quality as per project schedules.
• Follow up with other disciplines for comment resolution

Main Tasks:

Requirements:

• Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Fertilizer industries is preferred
• Experience in 2D drawings ( Autocad etc.,)
• Experience in 3D Modeling ( S3D )
• Experience in extraction of 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Shall be well versed with Indian and International codes (American, British, Euro codes preferred)
• Experience in Building drawings, Concrete Detailing, Architectural drawings preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Spends most of time in a temperature-controlled office environment. Whenever required shall visit site as well short time deputation within India / /international deputation and Field Engineering.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
