JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shop floor and yard operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
  • Lead and support production personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate workflow, equipment usage, and material movement to maintain production schedules.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.


Job Duties

  • Assist operations leadership in planning and prioritizing daily production activities.
  • Monitor the progress of work orders to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Conduct regular floor inspections to ensure employees follow safety practices and company procedures.
  • Operate a front-end loader as needed to support yard operations and material handling activities.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve workflow challenges to maintain productivity.
  • Coordinate with forklift operators and inventory personnel to ensure materials are properly staged, loaded, and unloaded.
  • Ensure equipment and inspection tools are properly maintained and calibrated to industry standards.
  • Train and mentor employees on equipment operation, safety practices, and job procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing company safety policies and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.


Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a front-end loader required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, pipe yard, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Previous lead, crew lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment or material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industrial quality standards, inspection processes, and operational procedures preferred.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and environmental regulations in industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
