Job Description
The Senior Manager - Document Control is responsible for leadership and project management of Document Control, Records, Retention, and Archive Storage for documents under capital development projects for the five airports within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and potentially other UAE airports such as Fujairah International Airport. The role ensures the development, management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of document control practices across the CP&C division and Abu Dhabi Airports, in compliance with national and international laws, rules, and regulations.

The role ensures the development, management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of document control practices across the CP&C division and Abu Dhabi Airports, in compliance with national and international laws, rules, and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Document Control practices to ensure all projects and corporate documentation comply with national and international regulations.
- Oversee department adherence to laws, rules, regulations, and standards in managing projects and corporate documents.
- Ensure execution of department policies and procedures for Document Control and Archiving Management.
- Participate in and provide inputs during periodic audits related to Document Control operations.
- Manage and approve the department budget in coordination with the Document Control Manager.
- Develop business cases and proposals for management review regarding Document Control initiatives.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and reviewing Document Control policies, procedures, management plans, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Prepare management presentations including charts, models, and graphics related to Document Control.
- Conduct performance appraisals and recommend actions for subordinates.
- Recommend training needs for subordinates and evaluate training outcomes in coordination with HR.
- Collaborate with HR to identify future manpower needs.
- Monitor the Document Control process for compliance with standards, procedures, contracts, and regulations.
- Identify and validate electronic document archiving procedures.
- Provide guidance to ensure the highest Document Control quality standards.
- Oversee accuracy of data entered by document control staff into systems.
- Identify technology needs to drive automation and cost optimization through effective document control systems.
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders regarding Document Control issues and compliance.
- Conduct risk analyses and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date documentation database.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines from HR, legal, risk, quality assurance, and ADA's framework/Delegation of Authority.
- Oversee periodic audits of policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit periodic management reports.
- Recommend remedial actions for quality or compliance issues identified in reports.
- Proactively pursue professional development opportunities aligned with ADA values.
- Participate in performance appraisals and incorporate feedback for development.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace and report hazards.
- Follow and promote safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager to achieve divisional objectives.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive experience with Document Control software and Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS)
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
