Your role and responsibilities
We are currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join the team on a 1.5‑year fixed‑term contract, covering a maternity leave
As a management team member, this position focuses on supporting the business in reaching its objectives by offering clear HR guidance and translating strategic business plans into impactful people priorities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to improved business performance by developing and implementing HR processes and best practices in close cooperation with managers and supervisors. You will represent HR across the organization, work closely with employee representatives, and promote engagement, motivation, and an effective leadership culture. By leading HR development projects, supporting internal communication and employer branding activities, and ensuring alignment with the global division's People Strategy, you will enable high employee engagement and sustainable business results.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Large Motors & Generators unit in Estonia. Main stakeholders are business management team members, line managers, approximately 440 employees, HR Operations, and employee representatives.

This role is contributing to the Large Motors & Generators unit in Estonia. Main stakeholders are business management team members, line managers, approximately 440 employees, HR Operations, and employee representatives.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Acting as a strategic HR partner, overseeing and implementing key HR processes and initiatives, including talent and performance management, competence and leadership development, employee well‑being, and strategy‑driven target setting, and HR‑related budgeting such as headcount planning and training & development, to develop leadership capabilities and enable a productive and sustainable culture across the organization.
- Advising, coaching, and supporting managers on HR-related topics such as recruitment, compensation, labor law and collective agreements, talent management, HR systems and tools, well-being, occupational health, and global mobility, in close collaboration with other HR experts.
- Supporting the business across the full employee lifecycle by ensuring effective execution of HR processes in line with ABB's global policies, while providing guidance to employees and employee representatives to promote engagement, motivation, and talent development.
- Ensuring HR governance and compliance, including adherence to legal requirements, collective agreements, safety standards, and ABB integrity policies, and supporting integrity investigations and conflict resolution.
Qualifications for the role
- You are well-versed in modern HR approaches, tools, and methods, and thrive in a busy industrial/manufacturing work environment
- You have advanced skills in HR business partnering and practical operational HR work, including staffing and recruiting, talent management, training & development, employer branding, and management advisory
- You are highly experienced in strategic HR business partnering, including management advisory, change management and organizational development, including leadership and culture development
- You prioritize people-centered solutions, are self-motivated and pragmatic, and have experience managing and implementing organizational, leadership, and culture change efforts
- You have highly developed people skills and effective interpersonal abilities to communicate and collaborate at all levels, both locally and internationally, to find common ground
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or relevant field
- You are at ease communicating in English and Estonian; Russian is a great advantage
