In which organization will you work as a Senior Buyer?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients in the energy sector, a Senior Buyer, who will be based in Villeurbanne.

Senior Buyer: What will your missions and responsibilities be?

• Preparation of bidders lists
• Management of confidentiality agreements (NDAs)
• Launching of calls for tenders (RFPs)
• Opening of bids and preliminary analysis
• Establishment of shortlists
• Organization of technical and commercial clarification meetings
• Contractual and commercial negotiations
• Preparation of commercial bid comparison summaries with final recommendations
• Benchmarks and justification details supporting the final selection
• Preparation of purchase order appendices and related documentation

What profile and skills are required for this Senior Buyer position?

• 10 years of experience in project procurement, in an international engineering environment
• Knowledge of industrial equipment
• Ability to become autonomous quickly
• Knowledge of global equipment/material costs and contract management

A strong requirement regarding legal knowledge and experience is necessary for this assignment (preparation of purchase orders including contractual review of General Terms and Conditions - GTC):

• Proven experience in contract negotiation
• Ability to work autonomously in understanding and reviewing GTC (liability clauses, guarantees, responsibilities, etc.)
• Ability to collect supplier deviations, analyze them, and propose counter-proposals to suppliers with the support of the Project Procurement Manager (PPM) in order to obtain client approval
• Experience in engineering environments such as Oil & Gas
• Knowledge of equipment used in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries
• Fluent French and English required
