  • Develop structured training plans for operators and technicians on new or existing processes and technologies.
  • Support layout updates, including material flow improvements, workstation design, and optimization of floor space.
  • Assist in the implementation of automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and digital tools.
  • Support creation and execution of preventive maintenance plans for new automation or equipment deployments.
  • Participate in technology trials, equipment run-offs, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and maintenance teams to standardize processes and improve manufacturing stability.
  • Support continuous improvement via root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and incremental process improvements.
  • Collect and organize shop-floor data to support process capability, cycle time, and throughput improvements.
  • Ensure documentation and process changes are communicated and fully adopted by production teams.
  • Assist with cost-reduction, quality improvement, and productivity initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Associate degree in a technical field OR completion of an accredited trade school program OR equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience (typically 5+ years).
  • Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or automation systems used in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability in a production environment.
  • Experience creating or modifying manufacturing documentation (SOPs, WIs, job aids).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working on the shop floor.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CAD tools for layout updates (AutoCAD preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience a plus).
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, standard work, waste reduction).
  • Experience supporting automation projects, PLC-driven equipment, or machine integration.
  • Aptitude for training and coaching operators and technicians.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions.
