The Supply Specialist in the Distribution Service Center (DSC) structure is responsible for supply chain processes and analysis that involve supplier and manufacturer networks, support functions of logistics and procurement, distribution service center and internal customers, this person will also encompass validity of business system continuity between various processes and ERP systems, generate performance metrics, monitor and assist with flow of goods and materials from DSC to field locations. The Supply Specialist in the Materials Control Tower (MCT) structure is responsible for centrally execute the replenishment process for field locations. • When assigned to DSC, Perform parts selection analysis and statistical safety stock calculation for parts to be carried by DSC.
• When assigned to DSC, Maintain and improves master data and critical parameter integrity of various ERP databases and data repositories for active parts used for daily operations at DSC.
• When assigned to DSC, Aid DSC replenishment planner with requisition creation, order placement and maintenance, expediting, de-expediting and cancelation based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages.
• When assigned to DSC, Support the DSC replenishment planner with the DSC stock management.
• When assigned to DSC, Enforce and flag non-conformances with regards to inventory control measures, maintenance of missing components, incorrect sourcing or changes to processing lead-times.
• When assigned to DSC, Perform analysis in various areas - transportation, warehousing, customer service, and deployment.
• When assigned to DSC, Generate and maintain metric reports, process discrepancy reports, and various KPIs to provide better visibility to DSC performance.
• When assigned to DSC, Assist and participate on project work and teams for new product launches, system upgrades, and provide ad hoc analysis upon request.
• When assigned to DSC, Handle special requests as needed and back-up cross functional Customer Service functions during vacation or absenteeism.
• When assigned to DSC, Develop strong working relationship and working knowledge with supply chain internal and internal customers and suppliers (such as warehouses, carriers, logistics groups, etc.).
• When assigned to MCT, Analyze and process the material requests of the assigned PL(s) from the GeoMarkets within the coverage Area of the MCT, with an aim to ensure that the quantities ordered are in line with the GeoMarket and PL targets for stock levels as defined by the PL Planner.
• When assigned to MCT, Maintain view on the incoming pipeline of and update the requested quantities accordingly.
• When assigned to MCT, Act proactively in finding excess opportunities during request processing to support/encourage material redistribution efforts through Field Materials Transfer (FMT).
• When assigned to MCT, Review (on monthly basis) the active list of frequently consumed parts and critical parts with the PL Planners.
• When assigned to MCT, Replenish the frequently consumed parts using the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system centrally based on the target parameters set in coordination with the PL Planners.
• When assigned to MCT, Ensure the ordered parts are leveraging the buyer part numbers.
• When assigned to MCT, Review the key metrics and trends for the associated PL(s); stock on hand (SOH) value, days stock on hand (DSOH), excess and slow-moving, for proper management of the replenishment based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• When assigned to MCT, Support the GeoMarkets in managing replenishment exceptions with the help of the MCT Manager.
• When assigned to MCT, Identify excess opportunities in locations main stores and push to move to excess stores.
• When assigned to MCT, Update the MCT Express system for the parts status as well as to provide visibility to the requestors.
