Strategic Sourcing Lead - Renewables & Flex Gen (R&F)

Summary of what you will do
  • Execute strategic sourcing contracts and negotiate optimal terms with suppliers
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage direct and indirect spend across multiple UK entities
  • Lead digitization initiatives, including Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, CSR, and ESG requirements
  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards using Power BI and other analytics tools
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities


What you will bring to the role
  • 5-7 years of strategic procurement experience in O&M buying, including engineering consultancy, FM, and civil maintenance contracts
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement excellence
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in IT systems and procurement ERP systems (SAP/Ariba preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, with knowledge of Power BI or Power Automate
  • Understanding of contract law, health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines


Job Based In

Hybrid working arrangement from our London HQ with travel to North Wales office bi-weekly. Some travel to other ENGIE sites will also be required to maintain visibility and accessibility to stakeholders.

A full driving licence will be required to meet the travel requirements of this role.
