District Manager

The District Manager is responsible for the operational management and overall success of Fortress Downhole Tools within the assigned market. This role ensures execution of Fortress best practices and procedures while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and financial performance standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and customer-facing personnel across all regional facilities
• Champion safety and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Coordinate with customer field representatives to execute the Cyclops Setting Tool pickup and delivery program at wellsites
• Complete incident investigations related to tool failures, report findings, and support technical root cause analysis
• Control inventory cost and manage inventory levels
• Directly manage personnel responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing Cyclops Setting Tools per Fortress work instructions; provide hands-on support as needed
• Support onboarding of new customers and maintain strong service relationships
• Report all steps of the Cyclops Recycling Program through iFortress software
• Provide technical support to customers for Cyclops Setting Tools
• Ensure all necessary equipment and tools are available and properly maintained
• Oversee onboarding and training of new hires, including mentor assignments
• Coordinate tool requirements between shop personnel and upper management
• Ensure daily operational reporting is completed and communicated to management and sales
• Verify accuracy of pick-up and drop-off documentation and coordinate billing follow-up with Accounts Receivable
• Review and manage Profit & Loss performance in coordination with the Operations Director
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and termination decisions
• Maintain facility housekeeping to company standards
• Promote professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence
• Oversee maintenance of company trucks and setting tool inventory
• Identify and implement operational efficiency improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• Strong technical background with downhole tools used in pump-down operations, including wireline setting tools, frac plugs, and perforating guns
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required to support operations
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and operational leadership skills
• Technical sales experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
• Forklift training
• Proficiency with basic hand tools
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
• Strong leadership skills including employee evaluation, motivation, and communication
