Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of complex Information Systems (IS) initiatives that support the Automation business area. You will define project delivery strategies, select appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid), and ensure alignment between business stakeholders. Each day, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver IS project outcomes within agreed timelines, scope, cost, and quality standards while supporting the digital and operational needs of automation solutions and services.

This role is contributing to the Automation IS Business Area. Main stakeholders include Automation business leadership, product management teams, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure teams, application development teams, regional IS teams, and external technology partners.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Defining all project documentation jointly with key stakeholders including scope, schedules, financial and resource plans, and risk management strategies for IS initiatives supporting the Automation business area.
  • Leading global cross functional teams to successfully deliver IS projects supporting automation platforms, enterprise applications, and digital business solutions while ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Monitoring and controlling project financials including budgets, forecasting, vendor costs, project expenses, and financial reporting to ensure effective project governance and delivery performance.
  • Executing project governance, communications, and reporting project performance against milestones, KPIs, and expected business outcomes to global stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of less experienced project managers, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and capability growth within the project management community.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for project management coaching, helping ensure consistent project delivery practices, governance standards, and alignment across the IS PM community.
  • Serving as a delegate during leadership absences, ensuring continuity in governance, decision making, and program oversight across key initiatives within the Automation IS portfolio.

Qualifications for the role

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Systems project or program management, delivering complex enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale global or multiregional technology projects, preferably supporting industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, with experience working within structured PMO governance models.
  • Advanced proficiency with enterprise project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional global teams, manage diverse stakeholders, and communicate effectively across business and technical organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present project updates, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
