Join our growing Environment team in Whitehorse, Yukon, as a Student/Intern and build your career with one of Canada's most experienced environmental and geosciences engineering consulting groups. As a Student/Intern, you'll support a wide range of projects across the Yukon, NWT, northern B.C., and beyond - while learning from engineers, agrologists, geologists, and technologists who are committed to your growth. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on field and office experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

As a Student/Intern, you'll support a wide range of projects across the Yukon, NWT, northern B.C., and beyond - while learning from engineers, agrologists, geologists, and technologists who are committed to your growth. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on field and office experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Your Role
- Conduct historical data reviews and support site inspections to assess environmental conditions.
- Perform groundwater, surface water, soil, and vapour sampling to support environmental assessments.
- Assist with drilling programs and the installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
- Support remedial excavations and environmental field activities.
- Carry out hydraulic conductivity testing and document site work through photos and written notes.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and communicate findings to the Project Manager.
- Promote and uphold strong Health & Safety practices in all project activities.
About you
- Enrolled in an applicable program with a focus on environmental science.
- Ability to work independently and safely with minimal supervision and/or as a member of a team.
- Aptitude for organizing field activities and solving problems proactively.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, a team player and a high level of energy.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the territories and work for extended shifts (up to 3 weeks per shit), including shift work, evenings (incl. night shifts), weekends and statutory holidays. Must be willing to work overtime during field shifts (up to 12 hrs/day).
- Valid driver's licence.
