Our Company is recruiting for a dynamic individual to accept the role of Drilling Engineerto join our Well Construction team that operates out of our San Fernando, Trinidad office. The WEC Drilling Engineer is responsible for assisting the PSD team to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery for our customers. The WEC Drilling Engineer develops and delivers optimized technical job designs for the area of responsibility. This person identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and formally communicate findings, and supports the Product Line in risk management and apply lessons learned to improve job design. The WEC Drilling Engineer provides real-time support to PSD operations as required, and is responsible for the consumption of service delivery (i.e. resource consumption.)

- Develop technical job designs as required for the Product Line.
- Identify areas where new and cost-effective techniques can be applied.
- Explore opportunities for value-added products and services.
- Provide technical support throughout the service delivery process.
- Understand and communicate value of technology and interpretations.
- Consult with relevant subject matter experts as required to optimize the technical design.
- Support the Product, Service and Delivery Manager in the execution phase with design changes as required due to changes in job dimensions, resource availability, service quality incidents, etc.
- Assist in incident response, recovery, and incident investigation.
- Support multiple Product Line operations in a collaborative optimized job design.
- Assist sales and commercial team in evaluating technical viability and tenders.
- Analyze job execution vs. design and formally capture design improvements and optimization opportunities (lessons learned and best practices).
- Minimum 20 years of hands-on drilling engineering experience in both land and offshore environments across multiple global regions.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Proven technical leadership in the end-to-end planning and successful delivery of high-pressure, high-temperature, extended-reach, and deepwater wells utilizing advanced digital platforms such as Drilling Office (DOX), DrillPlan, and DrillOps.
- 10+ years demonstrating expertise in real-time drilling operations support, advanced drilling optimization, complex torque and drag, stuck pipe prevention, and hydraulics analysis, including the integration of digital advisory and automation systems (SLB DrillOps, NEURO).
- 10+ years showing advanced competency in risk management, including the facilitation of Hazard Identification Studies and Hazard and Operability Studies, chairing Drill Well On Paper sessions, and maintaining field risk registers for international drilling campaigns.
- Successful track record of non-productive time (NPT) and drilling cost reduction through application of high-level engineering calculations such as Formation Integrity Test, Leak Off Test, anti-collision analysis, and Drill String Design (TH Hill certified).
- Extensive trainer and mentor experience within the Drilling & Measurements field.
- Recognized technical authority and advisor for global clients (including TOTAL, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Repsol, CEPSA, Perenco, and Vista Energy), with experience delivering quantifiable results in operational efficiency, wellbore quality, and complex project execution.
- Advanced user of multi-well monitoring and analytics using Wellsite Information Transfer Standard Markup Language, and proven ability to apply digital performance assurance tools (KPI dashboards, automated reporting) for continuous improvement.
