OB PURPOSE :

Manage the delivery of slickline services at customer's expectations and to ensure that client's requirements are always fulfilled in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Provide field organization the support they need to deliver high quality service. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure full understanding and follow up by field organization. Plan and implement required training to field slickline crews to ensure competency and motivation of field organization. Maintain continuous and regular communication with clients to ensure proper job planning, execution and service delivery to customers at ADNOC Drilling and client standards. Represent ADNOC Drilling with client service quality meeting and follow up on all agreed actions. Prepare new business tenders received and ensuring high standard deliveries on time, follow up and the execution of the slickline business plan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

HSE-Wireline
  • Understand and manage slickline related HSE risks and ensures adherence to ADNOC Drilling and client HSE policies and procedures.
  • Support for achieving the company's HSE annual targets and objectives through regular audits on workshop well site locations on slickline activities. Conduct regular safety meetings and improve safety awareness by arranging HSE training for staff, and promoting HSE culture within the team.
  • Attends weekly safety meeting in head office to discuss HSE problems and share information with staff comprising rig managers, DTM's and VPs, Drilling Operations.
  • Compile and submit quarterly HSE reports related to the slickline activities.
  • Attend the quarterly HSE meeting for clients, prepare and presents the three months HSE performance and share information with slickline staff.
  • Member of the ADNOC Onshore team for accident investigation and reporting and ensuring that recommended actions are taken and reported to the clients. Provide regular updates to senior staff of the recommended actions to be implemented.

Process
  • Manage the assigned Slickline personnel activities.
  • Perform supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.
  • Order Surface and down hole equipment as per contract required specifications.
  • Manage floating inquiries and evaluate the latest technology and conduct technical evaluations depending on tender requirements and select the best quality and price.
  • Oversee the regular follow-up during the manufacturing process and compiles and submits regular reports and arranges for inspection by third party inspectors.
  • Conduct commissioning activities before deliveries.
  • Prepare technical tender documents as per OPCO's tenders invitations.
  • Provide technical support for slickline staff.
  • Introduce new technology to our customers.
  • Design and support for special and abnormal jobs and fishing operations.
  • Set up the operations manual, checklists and work instructions to offer the best quality services by preparing all required instructions & procedures for each job, creating daily checklists as per contract requirements and submission to VP Wireline Services and SVP OFS for reviewing and approval.
  • Attend the clients' meetings related to operations, performance and contract requirements or for ordering special tools at client's requests.
  • Prepare the draft monthly invoices for the clients as per the contract requirements and issue official invoices to finance division.
  • Ensure that for invoice calculations and preparations all the required invoice attachments are collected as daily service reports and monthly activities sheet.
  • Prepare yearly budget and five years' business.
  • Ensure the local manufacturing of tools as per client requirements, by providing drawing & dimensions to the manufacturing workshop, receiving quotations, issuing service work-orders and approves manufacturer invoices and oversees quality of inspection.
  • Compile all reports delivered to the clients' field representative regarding operations problems; update on accident investigations; respond to clients comments during location audits.
  • Conduct all the annual appraisals for all slickline personnel for the yearly performance evaluation through individual sessions with all staff to discuss performance related issues and verifying the percentages for each performer.
  • Ensure adherence of ADNOC Drilling/Client policies and procedures to increase the performance & quality services by weekly reviews in BAO for quality management system and regularly visiting the clients and receiving their comments.
  • Review and monitor cost and budget details monthly on SAP system to confirm the operating cost for the Slickline cost centre.

People
  • Ensure the training matrix is applied for all personnel as per contract requirements and employees have HSE passports indicating all training received.
  • Ensure that all personnel are familiar with and implement the company policy by conducting regular policy meetings with staff.
  • Coordinate with Human Capital for the selection, interview and recruitment of qualified, experienced manpower as per operations requirements.

Equipment
  • Oversee and follow up on equipment certifications, testing and inspection as per contract requirements & quality services. Receives quotations from TPI and prepares service work orders.
  • Initiate and invite authorized third party inspectors to apply load tests, MPI and crane certifications, issue instructions to supervisors to change colour-coding, follow-up on receiving certificates and ensure safekeeping once received.
  • Issue work orders and purchasing requisitions on SAP system for ordering spare parts to keep the operations running smoothly. Responsible for selecting the required spare parts from SAP system or provide commercial specifications of parts to create SAP nos, issue work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Oversee receiving and inspection of ordered goods and issue instructions for distributions to Bida Al Oshaneh.
  • Supervise and follow up equipment ordering with the procurement division to expedite issuing the purchasing orders. Liaise directly with the purchasing supervisors to float the inquiries; conduct technical evaluation for quotations; follow up with the purchasing supervisor till issue of the PO; follow-up with vendors for completion and delivery and receives and inspects goods.
  • Follow up on payments for vendors to ensure on time payments.
  • Handle any other work assigned by VP Wireline Services.

Asset Integrity
  • Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor Degree in related Engineering Discipline.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 12 years of experience in drilling industry and familiar with special operations such as fishing, rig and rig less operations and all well completion types.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Good administrative and computer software skills, MS Office, SAP.
