What You Can Expect
The Grounds Keeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and vegetation control of the solar facility grounds. This role focuses primarily on mowing, trimming, and general grounds upkeep within and around the solar array. The Grounds Keeper works under the direction and supervision of the Site Manager to support safe, efficient site operations.
- Perform regular mowing, trimming, and vegetation management within the solar array and surrounding property.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and small hand tools.
- Assist with weed control, debris removal, and general site cleanliness.
- Follow all site safety rules, including working around energized equipment and navigating the array safely.
- Support seasonal grounds tasks such as erosion control, gravel maintenance, and clearing pathways.
- Identify and report potential hazards, equipment issues, or site concerns to the Site Manager.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment used.
- Assist the Site Manager with additional site maintenance tasks as assigned
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma
- Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or similar outdoor maintenance work.
- Ability to safely operate mowing and trimming equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Additional Details
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain and navigate between solar rows.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Majority of work is performed outdoors on an active solar generation site.
- Safety training and PPE will be provided.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
