This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. This Position reports to:

Key responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop software modules to enable our robots to move in unknown environments
• Evaluate software modules available on the market
• Make our software modules robust for application on real hardware
• Test all your work on real robots
• Setup and maintain toolchains

Qualifications for the role

• You are currently studying in the field of informatics, electronics or mechatronics.
• You have profound programming skills in at least one of the following languages C/C++/Python.
• You have Knowledge of flowcharts/state charts (UML knowledge would be a plus).
• You are fluent in English preferably complemented by German language skills.
• You have a strong work ethic, are self-directed and resourceful with good communication skills.
• You work proactive, flexible, and are capable of working independently as well as in a team.
